We are honored to recognize the generosity of our donors. Thanks to our donors and the inspired efforts of campaign volunteers, we are able to announce that Cal Performances successfully achieved and surpassed the $15 million goal for the Centennial Campaign with a final total of $16,045,000 in gifts and pledges as of June 30, 2008. This total represents $4.6 million as unrestricted funds, $2.2 million for the Creative Venture Fund, $5.8 million for Endowment, and $3.4 million dedicated specifically to improvements in Zellerbach Hall, including the Kresge Foundation Challenge grant for $0.8 million. This is the single largest challenge grant The Kresge Foundation has ever made to a department on the UC Berkeley campus. Cal Performances marked these achievements with a Campaign Celebration on March 30, 2008.

The Centennial Campaign for Cal Performances achieved three critical objectives:

1. Improvements to Zellerbach Hall with new seating, sound-system upgrades, and mezzanine and café renovations.
2. Established The Creative Venture Fund to strengthen our capacity to present, produce and commission ambitious artistic projects and educational initiatives.
3. Increased The Endowment to ensure a solid foundation of future operating support and maintain the quality of Cal Performances' programming.

A dedicated Campaign Committee of long-time Cal Performances Trustees, patrons and donors, lent their leadership and advice to this effort. With their critical involvement we were assured of success. Cal Performances is also honored that the efforts of this campaign had the endorsement of a distinguished Honorary Committee of world-renowned artists.
