Cal Performances' 2010/11 Season features many in-depth encounters with important repertoire—including Bach's complete sonatas and partitas for solo violin, and an immersion into the world of Tomás Luis de Victoria. In the same spirit, David Finckel and Wu Han, one of the elite chamber music partnerships of our day, perform Beethoven's complete sonatas for cello and piano. This is music of incredible depth, and a rare opportunity to hear these astonishing compositions all in one concert.
