Subscription Series: The otherworldly purity, grace, and precise polyphony with which this consort sings makes it often hard to believe that its members are mere mortals. Acknowledged superstars of Renaissance sacred music, England's Tallis Scholars have more than 1,000 concerts and a host of awards to their credit, including the 1987 Gramophone Record of the Year Award for their disc of Josquin Masses, the only recording of early music ever to win that distinction.
