Blessed with a unique voice of staggering range and power, as well as a formidable musical imagination, Grammy-nominated Polish contralto Ewa Podles´ wields her rich, burnished tone with an emotional depth and dramatic authority that few artists command. Naming Podles´' recital as one of the prime vocal attractions of the season, the San Francisco Chronicle declared her an extremely rare phenomenon — "a genuine contralto of luxuriant tone and bottomless resources." Rescheduled from October 21, the event has now moved to Zellerbach Hall, affording you another chance for seats at this formerly sold-out recital!
