Subscription Series: Winter/Spring Series

Appearing as part of the Music from Japan Festival 2003, the leading presenter of Japanese contemporary and traditional music in the U.S., Keiko Nosaka, accompanied by Mizuyo Komiya on the 25-string bass koto, performs a program featuring the works of Akira Ifukube. Nosaka developed the 25-string koto to complement contemporary music and has premiered 48 works written especially for the instrument.
