Series A
Inspired
by a Classical Action benefit at BAM in 1998, MacArthur Genius Award-winner
Bill T. Jones and Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center artistic
director David Shifrin joined together in a unique collaboration to
equally showcase the distinctive joys of chamber music and modern
dance. The result are these programs featuring three Bay Area premieres,
a trio of works which display Jones' amazing emotional choreographic
range from playful and sexy to athletic and mysterious
as well as a diverse selection of classic chamber works, performed
by the acclaimed Orion String Quartet, the Chamber Music Society of
Lincoln Center's quartet-in-residence, and additional Society members.
