Venue: Zellerbach Hall

Price: $20/$30/$42

Subscription Series: Choose-Your-Own Series

Celebrated as one of the world's preeminent jazz vocalists, two-time Grammy Award winner Dianne Reeves makes even the largest concert hall feel as intimate as a small jazz club. Often compared to such jazz legends as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Sarah Vaughan, it was her first live performance album, In the Moment, that earned her a 2001 Grammy Award, followed by repeat honors in 2002 for her expressive Sarah Vaughan tribute album The Calling. A natural storyteller, with flawless rhythmic timing and a uniquely soulful voice, Reeves draws inspiration from a world of influences — from Africa, Brazil, and the Caribbean to gospel, R&B, and contemporary pop. "Sultry, savvy, unique, adventurous, with a range that flies off the Richter, she's the hottest thing in jazz" (New York Observer).
