Celebrating its 40th season, the Musicians from Marlboro touring program creates some of "the most exciting chamber music in the United States," says Time magazine. The ensemble is an extension of Vermont's Marlboro Music Festival, which has served for more than 50 years as an annual summer haven for exceptional young musicians and seasoned professionals alike to explore together the vast repertoire of chamber music. Musicians from Marlboro has introduced many of today's preeminent solo and chamber musicians to American audiences, including Richard Goode (now artistic director of the Marlboro Music Festival), Yo-Yo Ma, Murray Perahia, and András Schiff, as well as artists now heard in the Emerson, Juilliard, and Tokyo quartets.
Program: Mozart/String Quintet in B-flat major, K. 174; Dutilleux/Ainsi la Nuit for String Quartet; Mendelssohn/String Octet in E-flat major, Op. 20
