Celebrate the art of Italian life and culture with this special concert originally created at the Tuscan Sun Festival in Cortona, Italy, the home of Frances Mayesauthor of the best-selling book (and now major motion picture) Under the Tuscan Sun. Join conductor and acclaimed violinist Dmitri Sitkovetsky, the world-renowned New European Strings (NES) Chamber Orchestra, and cellist and Festival artistic director Nina Kotova in a program that will include Kotova's Tuscan Sun Suite, which premiered in Cortona in 2003 with a narration by Frances Mayes. This program will also feature a special video presentation from the Festival, including rare footage from Bramasole, Frances Mayes' now-legendary home, and the gorgeous photography of Stephen Rothfeld, her official photographer.
