"The most influential American ballerina of the late 20th century," (The New Yorker), Suzanne Farrell returns with her exceptional company following the ensemble's critically acclaimed Bay Area debut in 2003. George Balanchine's celebrated muse and New York City Ballet's star dancer for almost three decades, Farrell is deeply committed to passing on Balanchine's genius. She founded her own company under the auspices of the Kennedy Center in 2002, and the handpicked troupe has rapidly forged a reputation as one of the most inspired before the public today. "Farrell has worked to keep Balanchine's ballets not just alive but sizzling she seems to be reinventing the art of ballet itself," raved the San Francisco Chronicle.
