Cal Performances regrets to announce the cancellation of this 2004/05 event. For more information, click here

Join us for a special double bill evening celebrating the art of the jazz trio. A former member of Miles Davis' ensemble, jazz guitarist John Scofield is is joined by longtime musical partners bassist Steve Swallow and drummer Bill Stewart in celebration of their latest release EnRoute. Classically trained jazz pianist Brad Mehldau first came to international attention as a member of the Joshua Redman Quartet but his astonishing technique and innovative compositions quickly established him as a star in his own right. Voted "Jazz Pianist of the Year" in 1999, 2000, and 2002 by the Down Beat Reader's poll, he has released five critically acclaimed recordings with his jazz trio Larry Grenadier (bass) and Jorge Rossy (drums) showcasing the sublime possibilities of this quintessential American art form.
