He's back! America's favorite sardonic storyteller returns following two prior sold-out appearances at Cal Performances. David Sedaris made his 1992 NPR debut reading from The Santaland Diaries his prickly, humorous sketch about working at Macy's as a Christmas elf and his trademark skewed wit and incisive social critique quickly made him one of NPR's most popular commentators. A frequent radio contributor to This American Life and Morning Edition, and an essayist for Esquire and The New Yorker, he is also the author of the strange-but-true autobiographical bestsellers Barrel Fever, Naked, Holidays on Ice, and Me Talk Pretty One Day which was awarded the 2001 James Thurber Prize, the national book award for humor. Also named Time magazine's Humorist of the Year in 2001, Sedaris serves up comic relief with equal doses of brutal honesty and brilliant eloquence.
