We added a very special event to our season during the month of December: our Centennial Season Celebration and Gala, May 12, 2006. The centerpiece of this spectacular party will be an evening of unforgettable performances in Zellerbach Hall featuring the work of who I (and many others!) consider the most important creative artists of our time — John Adams and Mark Morris — plus a special participation by San Francisco Symphony's renowned Music Director, Michael Tilson Thomas. In addition, the celebration will start early and continue into the night with a pre-performance reception and post-performance dinner designed and produced for Cal Performances by the inimitable Alice Waters and Stanlee Gatti.
