Over the last three decades, it has become known to early music afficionados as "the Tallis sound"a distinct purity and clarity of vocal musical expression, honed through perfect tuning and blend. It is a sound that serves best the glorious Renaissance repertoire, allowing every detail of the musical lines to be heard. Join The Tallis Scholars for a joyous celebration of the 500th anniversary of the birth of Thomas Tallis, featuring works by the composer and music by John Taverner and William Byrd. To hear The Tallis Scholars perform is "one of the great live music experiences of our time" (The Boston Globe).
