One of her generation's supreme vocal artists, Anne Sofie von Otter is treasured not only for her lyricism and superb vocal technique, but also for her wide-ranging versatility and willingness to take artistic risks. In recent seasons, the Swedish mezzo-soprano has scored memorable triumphs on the great opera stages of Europe. She is also a distinguished recitalist, her audiences often emerging spellbound, "realizing that there is nothing that this extraordinary woman can't doand wondering what on earth she is going to do next" (The Guardian, London).
This presentation is made possible, in part, by the generous support of The Barbro Osher Pro Suecia Foundation.
