Writing his own biography on the Monty Python website, John Cleese describes himself as "the most spiritually advanced, intellectually gifted, and professionally distinguished of the Monty Python group" as well as "the President of the Holland Park Schadenfreude Society." Given that, who can guess what's in store when the great comedian's eccentric and unpredictable talents explode on the Zellerbach Hall stage? Cleese has depicted the activities of his so-called twilight years as largely concerned with "growing a decent tomato," but it's his classic work with Monty Python (not to mention Fawlty Towers, A Fish Called Wanda, and a multitude of other memorable appearances) that audiences still laugh about. Add it all up, and this event promises to be (dare we say it?) something completely different!
