Afro-Peruvian music's distinctive sound, which expands and enhances native traditions with influences from West Africa, Cuba, and elsewhere, is truly mesmerizing. And no one performs it better than Perú Negro, the legendary ensemble founded in 1969 to preserve and celebrate Peru's black heritage.
