In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth, this singular concert brings together a world-class ensemble and soloist for a celebration of some of the composer's finest music. The Grammy Award-winning Orpheus Chamber Orchestra—"one of the great marvels of the musical worlds" (San Francisco Chronicle)—has been thrilling music lovers on four continents for 33 years, its virtuosic intensity illuminating a wide and adventurous repertoire. Acclaimed for his poetic lyricism and brilliant technique, pianist Emanuel Ax needs no introduction to Bay Area audiences; he is simply one of the most-loved and highly regarded musicians of our time.

Program: Mozart/Overture to Così fan tutte, K.588; Piano Concerto No. 25 in C major, K.503; Piano Concerto No. 17 in G major, K.453; Symphony No. 35 in D major, K.385 "Haffner"
