What does this symbol mean?
For nearly a decade, exceptional young singers from all over the worldpegged as the stars of tomorrowhave flocked to St. Petersburg, combining an intensive musical education with performances on the famous stage of Russia's legendary Mariinsky Theatre. The high standards of these soloists and their worldwide recognition results from intense and painstaking work not only by the students themselves, but also by the entire Academy staff. For this performance, two outstanding young artistssoprano Viktoria Yastrebova and bass Alexei Markovjoin Academy artistic director Larissa Gergieva (one of the world's most accomplished vocal accompanists) for a program of Russian lieder.
