Demonstrating the abundant charm of the nation of 7,000 islands, the Bayanihan Philippine National Dance Company celebrates one of the world's richest music and dance traditions. Through brightly costumed and dynamic performances, the company has delighted audiences around the world for nearly 50 years. Bayanihan takes its name from an ancient Filipino tradition that signifies working together for the common good, and the company's programming is inspired by the diverse indigenous, Chinese, Spanish, and Islamic influences that have formed Philippine culture. "An engrossing evening of theatrical art...not only brilliant, but also pervaded by a rare and sweet grace all around" (The New York Times).

Program Notes: Program notes are available one week before the performance.
