Adults and children all over the country cheered when kids-rock legend Dan Zanes won this year's Grammy for Best Musical Album for Children. A pure delight, his Catch That Train is the one CD in America today that brings together the Kronos Quartet, the Blind Boys of Alabama, Rankin Don (a.k.a. Father Goose), Dan's mother-in-law, and the children of South Africa's Agape Orphanage. Zanes was a veteran rocker by the time his Del Fuegos broke up in 1991. Since then, he has been producing album after album of rock music loved by kids (and even more by parents tired of dumbed-down children's music). With great tunes for young people, "but executed with such sweet (and un-gooey!) humor, casual multiculturalism, and shambling groove that you can call it your own" (The New York Times), this will be a perfect concert for the whole family!
