Over several seasons, Rudolf Buchbinder has both captivated and moved Cal Performances audiences with his ongoing traversal of Beethoven's complete piano sonata cycle. Now the epic journey continues with another recital marked by his trademark "stylistic integrity, comprehensive technique, and a genuine Beethovenian flair" (Los Angeles Times). Firmly established as one of the most important pianists on the international scene, Buchbinder is a regular guest of the world's great orchestras. He recently celebrated both his 60th birthday and the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth with awe-inspiring performances of 12 Mozart concertos, as soloist and conductor, with the Vienna Philharmonic at the Vienna Festival.
Made possible, in part, through the generosity of Ambassador Kathryn Hall and Craig Hall.
