"The sky's the limit for him," said the New York Sun of this dynamic young lyric tenor from Albania, who is winning international ovations for his impressive vocal technique and compelling artistry. Pirgu recently exploded onto the musical scene, winning prizes at several important vocal competitions in Italy. Most recently, he opened the LA Opera season with a new production of Puccini's Il Trittico, directed by Woody Allen. Next year witnesses a return recital engagement in Vienna, as well as his highly anticipated debut at the Metropolitan Opera. Cal Performances continues its proud tradition of introducing tomorrow's stars to today's audiences in a vocal recital that is not to be missed!
