Named "Best Radio Host in America" by Time magazine, Ira Glass is a journalist and storyteller "who filters his interviews and impressions through a distinctive literary imagination, an eccentric intelligence, and a sympathetic heart" (The New York Times). Glass is the host and producer of the public radio program This American Life, heard today on more than 500 stations each week by more than 1.7 million listeners. Under Glass's editorial direction, the program has "reinvented radio" (Time), winning the highest honors for broadcasting and journalistic excellence. This special unmoderated appearance explores the ideas that guide Glass's thought-provoking work and includes a question-and-answer session with the audience.
Presented in association with the Townsend Center for the Humanities
